Our Leadership
The Bible clearly states that Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Additionally, the Bible instructs that local leaders are important for orderly worship. At our church, we believe in a plurality of pastoral elders and ministering deacons. Our elders are responsible for shepherding the spiritual care of our congregation. Our deacons are recognized servants that lead our congregation by example to support practical needs.

Teaching Pastor & Elder
Ben Emberley
Christ got a hold of Ben's heart as a young boy in a gospel-centered home where, by God's grace, he heard the good news and believed in Jesus for salvation. Ben loves small-town New England, growing up in southern New Hampshire before moving to Northfield where he graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Bible Exposition from The Master's University in Southern California and finished an MDiv. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2023. That same year he was hired to be the full-time teaching pastor at CBC.

Bob Emberley
In 2009, Bob and his wife, Wendy, moved their family to Northfield, and Bob took the position as the teaching pastor. In 2023, Bob retired from the full-time teaching position and has remained as an active servant leader of the church.
